Undergraduate Admissions

Adult and Non-Traditional Students

A first time freshman who is 25 years old or older is not required to meet the Board of Regents minimum admission criteria for first time freshmen.

However, if a student has completed a GED or graduated from high school, he or she may take the university's placement tests in mathematics and English and must have high school transcripts sent to the Admissions Office.

The Student Development and Counseling Center has helpful information for adult and non-traditional students returning to school. Click HERE for information on making the adjustment to school, studying with children at home, and obtaining financial aid.
