Academic Planning and Advising
Your faculty advisor will help you craft your educational plan.
Academic advising is critical to the attainment of your educational goals, and it is very important that you meet with your advisor often as you progress through the stages of earning a degree. Your advisor will help you:
1. Create a semester-by-semester plan listing which courses to take and in what order;
2. Plan for and make career choices;
3. Locate academic, counseling, and career resources on campus.
In particular, it is a requirement that you meet with your academic advisor prior to registration each semester in order to make sure you are on track to completing your degree in the time-frame you desire. If you are new to campus or new to a degree program and don't yet know your academic advisor, you can find out by selecting your degree program.
